  8. Proof of lodging (hotel with name/address/check-in/out; or invitation letter + host Italian ID)
  9. Employment verification letter on letterhead (self-employed: license + tax return; students: enrollment; retirees: pension)
  10. Three most recent bank statements from a US bank (no screenshots)
  11. Medical insurance: minimum $50,000 (hospitalization, emergencies, evacuation, repatriation); cards/booklets NOT accepted
  12. Visa fee: money order to 'Consulate of Italy in Detroit'
  13. Prepaid self-addressed envelope with tracking (USPS/FedEx); no in-person pickups
